865 Alliance and Charlottetowne Hops FC shared the spoils in a 1–1 draw in NPSL action on Saturday. C. Schneider opened the scoring for the visitors in the 40th minute, while B. Pacheco equalized for 865 Alliance twelve minutes into the second half.
The early stages saw Charlottetowne's J. Quigley pick up a yellow card in the seventh minute, but it did little to disrupt the visitors' rhythm. Hops FC controlled enough of the first half to create the game's opening goal, with Schneider finding the net just before the break to send Charlottetowne into halftime with a 1–0 lead.
865 Alliance came out with more urgency after the interval. Pacheco leveled the match in the 57th minute, pulling the home side back into it at a crucial point. The goal shifted momentum, and 865 Alliance looked the likelier side to push for a winner in the minutes that followed.
Neither team could find a decisive second goal, however. The match played out without any further cards or major incidents, finishing level at one apiece.
The draw leaves both sides with a point to show from the contest — a result that may prove more frustrating for 865 Alliance, who will feel the second-half momentum warranted more, than for a Charlottetowne Hops FC side that had to hold on after losing their first-half advantage.
