Lexington SC and Sacramento Republic FC played out a goalless draw in USL Championship action on Saturday, with neither side able to find a breakthrough across 90 minutes.

The first half produced little in the way of defining moments. Sacramento's Michelle Benítez picked up a yellow card in the 34th minute, the only notable incident before the break as both teams struggled to create clear-cut opportunities in front of goal.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Lexington's Jacob Greene was cautioned in the 65th minute as the home side pushed for an opener, but the final ball continued to elude both attacks. Neither team could manufacture the quality needed in the final third, and the match ended as it started — deadlocked at zero.

It was a frustrating night for Lexington SC in particular, playing in front of their home supporters and unable to convert territorial pressure into anything tangible on the scoresheet. Sacramento Republic, meanwhile, will take the point on the road, though they too would have hoped for more from the trip.

The draw gives each side a point early in the 2026 USL Championship season, but both will be eager to turn these kinds of stalemates into victories as the campaign progresses.
