San Antonio FC picked up a comfortable 2–0 victory over Lexington SC in USL Championship action on Sunday, with Jorge Hernández and Dmitri Erofeev finding the net to secure all three points at home.
Hernández opened the scoring in the 28th minute, giving San Antonio the lead heading into what would become a controlled first half. The hosts did pick up a booking shortly after when Michael Maldonado was cautioned in the 40th minute, but it did little to shift momentum before the break.
Lexington came out for the second half needing a response. Instead, Kendall Burks was shown a yellow card just three minutes after the restart, and the visitors struggled to build any sustained pressure. San Antonio doubled their advantage in the 75th minute when Erofeev finished from a Cristian Parano delivery to put the result beyond doubt. From there, the home side managed the closing stages without trouble.
No red cards were issued, and the match played out cleanly enough despite a physical middle stretch. Lexington rarely threatened and will have little to take away from this one.
The win gives San Antonio FC early-season momentum as they look to establish themselves near the top of the table in what is still a young 2026 campaign.
