Lexington SC dismantled Orange County SC 6–0 on Saturday night in USL Championship action, with Phillip Goodrum netting a hat trick and Nicolas Firmino pulling the strings throughout in a ruthless attacking display.

The rout began early. Goodrum opened the scoring in the ninth minute, finishing off a Firmino pass to put Lexington ahead. Six minutes later, Firmino turned provider again, setting up Marcus Epps to double the lead. Orange County had no answers. Goodrum struck his second in the 24th minute, this time converting from a Blaine Ferri delivery, and by the half-hour mark the game was effectively over.

Firmino then got on the scoresheet himself in the 35th minute, finishing from a Malcolm Fry assist to make it 4–0 before the break. Tyson Espy picked up a yellow card for Orange County in the 39th minute as frustrations boiled over for the visitors heading into halftime.

Lexington showed no mercy after the interval. Goodrum completed his hat trick four minutes into the second half, with Epps returning the earlier favor by teeing him up for the fifth. Jacob Greene was booked for Lexington in the 53rd minute, but with a five-goal cushion it was little more than a footnote. The scoring was rounded off in the 85th minute when Macielo Tschantret added a sixth, capping a dominant evening for the hosts.

Firmino was the standout performer — two assists and a goal from a player who was involved in nearly every dangerous move Lexington produced.

The comprehensive victory will send a clear message to the rest of the USL Championship as Lexington SC continues to stake its claim during the stretch run of the season.
