Sporting JAX cruised to a 2–0 victory over Fort Lauderdale United FC in USL Super League action on Saturday, with Paige Kenton and Ashlyn Puerta finding the net either side of halftime.

The first half was settled by a single goal. Kenton opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, finishing from a Meg Hughes assist to give the hosts the lead heading into the break. It was a deserved advantage for Sporting JAX, who carried that momentum straight into the second period.

Seven minutes after the restart, Puerta doubled the lead. Kenton turned provider this time, setting up Puerta to make it 2–0 in the 52nd minute. The goal provider-turned-scorer combination between the two effectively killed the contest as a meaningful competition.

Fort Lauderdale struggled to mount any sustained response. The visitors never found a way back into the match, and the closing stages saw Sporting JAX manage the game comfortably despite picking up a pair of yellow cards — Julia Lester in the 74th minute and Jade Pennock six minutes later. Neither booking disrupted the hosts' grip on proceedings.

Sporting JAX saw the match out without any late scares, keeping a clean sheet and collecting all three points in a controlled performance at home. Kenton was the standout, directly involved in both goals on the night.

The win strengthens Sporting JAX's position in the USL Super League standings and continues a positive run on home soil as the season progresses toward its decisive stretch.
