FC Naples edged Westchester SC 1–0 at home on Friday night in USL League One, with William Arevalo's strike right before halftime proving the difference.

The first half was a scrappy affair that grew increasingly testy. Marc Torrellas picked up a yellow card in the 33rd minute for FC Naples, setting the tone for what became a card-heavy contest. The decisive moment came in first-half stoppage time when Arevalo found the back of the net to send the hosts into the break with a 1–0 lead.

FC Naples came out for the second half with energy but also indiscipline. Joshua Yoder was booked just two minutes after the restart, and Dominick Bachstein followed him into the referee's notebook in the 66th minute. That gave the home side three yellows on the evening — a total that could have easily complicated matters had any of those challenges tipped further.
