San Antonio FC came away from New Mexico with all three points, winning 1–2 thanks to goals from Kipp Keller and Nicky Hernandez, while Dayonn Harris scored the hosts' lone reply in a bad-tempered USL Championship clash on Saturday night.

San Antonio struck early. Keller found the net in the seventh minute to put the visitors ahead, and the goal seemed to unsettle New Mexico United, who struggled to find rhythm in a first half littered with fouls. The referee's notebook filled quickly — Santiago Patiño and Hernandez were cautioned for San Antonio inside the opening 17 minutes, while New Mexico picked up three bookings of their own before halftime, including one to Zico Bailey in the 44th minute.

Bailey made amends almost immediately. Just seconds into the second half, he set up Harris, who leveled the score in the 46th minute. The equalizer gave New Mexico brief momentum, but it evaporated six minutes later when Hernandez restored San Antonio's lead, making it 2–1 in the 52nd minute.

From there, New Mexico chased the game with increasing frustration. The cards kept coming — Jake LaCava, Greg Hurst, Christopher Gloster, Tyler Blackett, and Kipp Keller were all cautioned as the match grew increasingly fractious. In total, the referee brandished 12 yellow cards across the 90 minutes, eight of them shown to New Mexico players. Despite the pressure and the desperation, the hosts never found an equalizer.

The result moves San Antonio FC further up the table and extends a difficult spell for New Mexico United, who will need to channel their aggression more productively in the weeks ahead.
