Cruizers FC and Oakland Stompers played out a remarkable 5–5 draw in NPSL action on May 30, a ten-goal contest that saw three goals scored in the 90th minute alone. J. Mayorca, J. Herzog (twice), O. Gherab, and J. Perez found the net for Oakland, while M. Portillo, E. Luna Ramirez, J. Downes, H. Sandoval, and C. De La Cruz all scored for the hosts.

Oakland tore Cruizers apart early. Mayorca opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Herzog doubled the lead five minutes later, and Gherab made it 3–0 before the half-hour mark. Cruizers looked buried. Portillo pulled one back in the 33rd minute to give the hosts a lifeline heading into the break, but Herzog restored Oakland's three-goal cushion in the 59th minute to make it 4–1.

What followed was an extraordinary fightback. Luna Ramirez struck in the 68th minute, and Downes — who had been booked just four minutes earlier — added a third for Cruizers in the 74th to cut the deficit to one. The final minutes were chaotic. Sandoval equalized in the 90th minute, only for Perez to immediately restore Oakland's lead. De La Cruz then rescued a point for Cruizers deep in stoppage time, completing a comeback from three goals down twice in the same match. De La Cruz picked up a yellow card in the process, one of five bookings dished out across the final 20 minutes as the game boiled over.

The draw leaves both sides sharing the spoils from a contest neither defense will want to revisit anytime soon.
