Fort Lauderdale United FC beat Lexington SC 2–1 at home on Sunday, with Sh'nia Gordon scoring both goals to secure all three points in the USL Super League.

The first half was goalless until the 37th minute, when Gordon broke the deadlock. Abigail Hugh provided the assist, and Gordon made no mistake to give Fort Lauderdale the lead heading into the break.

Gordon doubled the advantage just five minutes into the second half, converting from a Kiara Locklear delivery to put the hosts in a commanding position at 2–0. It was a clinical start to the half from Fort Lauderdale, and Lexington suddenly had a mountain to climb.

The visitors kept pushing, though, and pulled one back late. Hannah White found the net in the 86th minute, finishing off a Catherine Barry assist to make it 2–1 and inject some tension into the closing stages. Lexington pressed for an equalizer in the final minutes, but Fort Lauderdale held firm and saw out the result without any real scares.

Molly McDougal picked up a yellow card for the home side deep in stoppage time as Fort Lauderdale managed the game to its conclusion.

Gordon's brace was the difference — her first-half opener settled the nerves and her second-half strike provided crucial breathing room that ultimately proved decisive even after White's late consolation. The win keeps Fort Lauderdale United FC moving in the right direction as the USL Super League season progresses.
