Miami FC came from behind — or rather, never trailed — in a 2–1 victory over Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday, with Arney Rocha involved in both goals to seal all three points on the road. Rocha opened the scoring early, Rodrigo da Costa added a second, and Charlie Ostrem grabbed a consolation for the hosts in between.

It took Miami just five minutes to strike first. Rocha latched onto a ball from Alessandro Milesi and converted to put the visitors ahead before Tampa Bay had settled into the match. The early goal forced the Rowdies onto the front foot for much of the first half, but they went into the break still trailing.

Tampa Bay found their equalizer eight minutes into the second half. Nathan Dossantos picked out Ostrem, who finished to make it 1–1 in the 53rd minute. Max Schneider was booked moments later as tempers briefly flared following the goal.

The hosts' momentum lasted all of seven minutes. In the 60th, Rocha turned provider, setting up da Costa to restore Miami's lead. It was a quick counterpunch that sucked the energy out of the Rowdies' revival.

Tampa Bay pressed for another equalizer in the final half-hour but couldn't manufacture a clear-cut chance. Ostrem picked up a yellow card late on as frustration crept into the home side's play. Miami, for their part, managed the game smartly and held firm without significant scares.

The result gives Miami FC a valuable away win in the USL Championship standings and extends a difficult stretch for Tampa Bay, who will need to find answers quickly as the season enters its closing weeks.
