Athletic Club Boise held off a second-half fightback from Chattanooga Red Wolves SC to claim a 2–1 victory in USL League One action on Saturday. Tumi Moshobane and Omar Gómez scored either side of halftime for the hosts, while Omar Hernandez pulled one back for the visitors in the 56th minute.

Boise wasted no time getting on the board. Just three minutes in, Moshobane finished from a Jake Crull delivery to put the home side ahead early. The quick start forced Chattanooga into a reactive posture for much of the first half, and the Red Wolves struggled to find a foothold. Tempers rose midway through the opening period, with Nate Miller picking up a yellow card in the 23rd minute and Chattanooga's Tobi Adewole following into the book seven minutes later.

Gómez doubled the advantage in the 37th minute, giving Boise a comfortable cushion heading into the break.

Chattanooga came out with more urgency after halftime. Omar Hernandez cut the deficit to one in the 56th minute, converting off a Pedro Hernandez assist to inject life into the Red Wolves' pursuit. Wynard Wessels was booked in the 61st minute as Chattanooga pressed forward, and the final 30 minutes grew increasingly tense. Jonathan Kliewer picked up a late yellow for Boise deep in stoppage time as the hosts saw out the result.

Despite the nervy finish, Boise's two-goal first-half cushion proved enough. The win gives Athletic Club Boise valuable early-season points at home as they look to establish themselves in the League One standings.
