Loudoun United FC and Tampa Bay Rowdies shared the spoils in a 1–1 draw in USL Championship action on Saturday, with Pedro Dolabella opening the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute before Thorleifur Úlfarsson equalized late for the hosts in the 82nd.

The first half belonged largely to Tampa Bay. Dolabella found the net just a minute after Loudoun's Pacifique Niyongabire was booked, capitalizing on a Loudoun side that appeared unsettled. The Rowdies carried their advantage into the break, with Max Schneider picking up a yellow card of his own in the 38th minute as the contest grew increasingly physical.

The second half continued in a similar vein. Loudoun's Boluwatife Akinyode was cautioned in the 65th minute, and the home side struggled to create meaningful chances for long stretches. Tampa Bay looked comfortable managing the game and seemed content to protect their lead as the clock wound down.

That changed in the 82nd minute. Úlfarsson struck to pull Loudoun level, breathing life back into the home crowd and shifting the momentum entirely. Tampa Bay's Matt Myers was booked three minutes later as the Rowdies scrambled to respond, and Loudoun's Kwame Awuah also saw yellow in the 88th minute as a scrappy final stretch played out. Six yellow cards were shown across the match — four to Loudoun, two to Tampa Bay — reflecting the fractious nature of the contest.

Neither side could find a winner in the closing minutes, and the points were shared. The draw does little to significantly alter the landscape for either team in the Championship standings, though Loudoun will take more encouragement from the result after fighting back late.
