Chattanooga Red Wolves SC ground out a 1–0 victory over AV ALTA FC in USL League One action on Wednesday night, with Ropapa Mensah's first-half strike proving the difference.

Mensah broke the deadlock in the 17th minute, finishing off a pass from Wynand Wessels to give the hosts an early lead. It was a fast start from the Red Wolves, who controlled the opening stretch and made their pressure count.

AV ALTA FC spent most of the remaining minutes searching for an equalizer but struggled to create clear-cut chances. The frustration showed on both sides as the game wore on. Angelo Kelly-Rosales picked up a booking for Chattanooga in first-half stoppage time, and the cards kept coming after the break. AV ALTA's Kaloyan Pehlivanov was cautioned in the 54th minute, followed by Greyson Mercer in the 61st for the Red Wolves. Jordan Ayimbila joined them in the referee's notebook in the 81st minute — three Chattanooga yellows in total on a feisty evening.

Despite the mounting cards, the Red Wolves never looked in serious danger of conceding. They managed the game smartly through the second half, content to protect their slender advantage rather than push for a second. AV ALTA simply couldn't find a way through.

The win gives Chattanooga Red Wolves SC a valuable three points at home and continues to build momentum during the heart of their USL League One campaign.
