Santa Cruz FC cruised to a 1–3 away victory over OSNER'S FC in NPSL action on Saturday, with two own goals from OSNER'S defender C. Prouty proving decisive. D. Mimy added a third for the visitors, while I. Hodzic grabbed a late consolation for the hosts.

The trouble started early for OSNER'S FC. Prouty turned the ball into his own net in the 18th minute to hand Santa Cruz a lead they never relinquished. The first half grew increasingly fractious from there, with Santa Cruz's J. Marcelin and M. Colo picking up yellows in the 27th and 30th minutes respectively, before OSNER'S K. Lundstrom Svahnqvist was cautioned just before halftime.

The second half brought further misery for Prouty. He put through his own goal again in the 57th minute, doubling Santa Cruz's advantage. Moments later — also in the 57th minute — Mimy made it three, effectively killing the contest. Mimy was booked six minutes later but it hardly mattered with the visitors sitting on a comfortable cushion.

The match continued to simmer. B. Jones and P. Baisch collected yellows for OSNER'S FC in the 70th and 79th minutes as frustration mounted. Hodzic finally got the home side on the scoreboard in the 88th minute, but it was nothing more than a consolation in a game that had long slipped away.

Santa Cruz FC's convincing road win strengthens their early-season positioning in the NPSL, while OSNER'S FC will need to regroup quickly after a painful afternoon at the back.
