Louisville City FC came from behind twice — or rather, never trailed — in a 3–2 win at Orange County SC on Saturday night, with Ray Serrano scoring twice and Chris Donovan adding a third to seal a hard-fought road victory in USL Championship action.

Louisville wasted no time asserting themselves. Serrano opened the scoring in just the sixth minute, converting from a Tola Showunmi feed to put the visitors ahead early. Orange County struggled to find a foothold before halftime, and Louisville's disciplinary issues were the only blemish on an otherwise controlled first half — Evan Davila picked up a yellow card in the 44th minute, followed by Zach Duncan in first-half stoppage time.

Serrano struck again three minutes into the second half, finishing off a pass from Quenzi Huerman to double Louisville's advantage. The 2–0 cushion looked comfortable, and it grew even wider in the 68th minute when Donovan made it three, again set up by Huerman, who was pulling strings throughout.

Orange County finally responded. Ousmane Sylla pulled one back in the 70th minute, and suddenly the home side had life. Yaniv Bazini added a second in the 81st minute to cut the deficit to one, sparking a nervy final stretch. Brandon Dayes was booked for Louisville on 81 minutes as tempers flared during the late push. But Orange County's rally came too late, and Louisville held firm to take all three points.

The result underlines Louisville City's credentials as serious contenders this season, proving they can win on the road even when forced to weather a late storm.
