Birmingham Legion FC and Charleston Battery played out a 2–2 draw in USL Championship action on Saturday, with Sebastian Tregarthen and Romario Williams scoring for the hosts and Miguel Berry netting twice for the visitors.

Legion struck first through Tregarthen in the 11th minute, but the lead lasted barely three minutes. Berry equalized for Charleston in the 14th, then completed his brace in the 21st, finishing off a Jeremy Kelly assist to put the Battery ahead. The quick turnaround shifted momentum squarely in Charleston's favor.

The match grew chippy as the half wore on. Williams picked up a yellow card in the 18th minute, followed by Kadeem Cole's booking in the 28th. Kelly joined them in the referee's notebook in the 35th minute. Four minutes later, Williams — already walking a disciplinary tightrope — found the equalizer in the 39th minute, converting from a Tyler Pasher delivery to level the score at two apiece heading into halftime.

The second half produced no further goals, though not for lack of a frenetic opening 45 minutes that suggested more were coming. Both sides had to settle for a point after a first half that packed all four goals and three yellow cards into a 28-minute stretch.

The draw leaves both teams sharing the spoils in a result that may satisfy neither side as the USL Championship regular season enters its closing stages.
