Rhode Island FC cruised to a 1–3 victory over Brooklyn FC on Saturday, with goals from Amos Shapiro-Thompson, Karifa Yao, and Nicholas Scardina sealing a comfortable road win. Malik Pinto grabbed a late consolation for the hosts.

Rhode Island took control early. Shapiro-Thompson opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and just three minutes later Yao doubled the lead, finishing off a Yutaro Tsukada assist to make it 2–0 before the half-hour mark. Brooklyn had no answer in the opening stages and saw Gabriel Alves booked in the 28th minute as frustration crept in.

Rhode Island picked up a pair of yellows of their own before halftime — Stas Kornzeniowski in the 42nd minute and Tsukada right at the end of the first half — but neither disrupted their grip on the match.

Any hopes of a Brooklyn comeback were effectively killed ten minutes into the second half. Scardina struck in the 55th minute to extend Rhode Island's advantage to three, leaving the home side with a mountain to climb. Hugo Bacharach was cautioned two minutes later as Rhode Island racked up a third yellow of the evening, though discipline issues mattered little with a commanding lead.

Brooklyn did find the net through Pinto in the 85th minute, who converted from a Callum Frogson delivery, but it was nothing more than a consolation. Rhode Island saw out the remaining minutes without concern.

The result marks another strong away performance for Rhode Island FC as the USL Championship season enters its final stretch, keeping their push for a playoff position firmly on track.
