Spokane Zephyr FC picked up a comfortable 2–0 home victory over Tampa Bay Sun FC on Saturday, with goals from Lena Silano in the 24th minute and Ally Cook in first-half stoppage time sealing all three points in USL Super League action.

Spokane took the lead midway through the first half when Silano finished off a chance created by Kelsey Oyler to make it 1–0. The Zephyr kept pushing before the break and doubled their advantage right at the end of the half, with Cook finding the net in the 45th minute to send the hosts into halftime with a two-goal cushion.

Tampa Bay came out after the interval looking to respond but quickly found themselves on the wrong side of the referee. Jillian Shimkin was cautioned in the 48th minute, and Siena Bryan followed her into the book just four minutes later. The Sun struggled to build any sustained pressure while walking that disciplinary tightrope.

Silano, who had opened the scoring, picked up a yellow card of her own in the 71st minute. Tampa Bay's Sydny Nasello was also booked late in stoppage time as frustrations boiled over for the visitors.

Spokane managed the second half professionally, keeping Tampa Bay at arm's length without needing a third goal. The Sun rarely threatened to pull one back, and the match ended without significant late drama.

The result gives Spokane Zephyr FC a clean sheet and valuable points at home, while Tampa Bay Sun FC will look to regroup quickly after a defeat in which they failed to register on the scoresheet.
