Fort Wayne FC and Charlotte Independence played out a 2–2 draw on Friday night in USL League One, with all four goals coming inside the opening 15 minutes. Taig Healy and Jayden Smith scored for the hosts, while Christy Manzinga and Enzo Martínez replied for Charlotte.

Fort Wayne struck first in the fourth minute when Healy finished from a Tiago Dias feed to give the home side an early lead. The advantage lasted barely three minutes. Manzinga equalized in the seventh, converting after good work from Joseph Skinner to make it 1–1.

Fort Wayne regained the lead almost immediately. Smith found the net in the 10th minute — his goal unassisted — to put the hosts back in front. Charlotte, though, had an answer again. Martínez leveled the score in the 15th minute, picking up a pass from Jon Bakero to restore parity at 2–2.

After a breathless opening quarter of an hour, the remaining 75 minutes produced no further goals. The second half grew increasingly fractious. Manzinga and Fort Wayne's Juan Solis were both cautioned in the 70th minute, and Bakero followed into the referee's notebook two minutes later. Jon Paul Jordan II
