Minnesota Blizzard FC steamrolled Siouxland United FC 4–0 on the road Friday night in NPSL action, with Y. Urakami bagging a brace and second-half goals from K. Ogawa and S. Sakurai completing the rout.

Blizzard took control midway through the first half. Urakami opened the scoring in the 30th minute, then doubled the visitors' advantage in the 41st with his second of the night. The forward picked up a yellow card three minutes later, sandwiched between a booking for Siouxland's M. Locher II at 43 minutes, as tensions rose heading into the break.

Siouxland came out needing a response in the second half but never found one. H. Kopany was cautioned in the 59th minute as the hosts' frustration mounted. Minnesota Blizzard kept pressing and put the game well beyond reach with two goals in quick succession late on — Ogawa striking in the 77th minute before Sakurai added a fourth just two minutes later.

The misery was compounded for Siouxland when J. Morgan was shown a straight red card in the 80th minute, leaving the home side to see out the final ten minutes with ten men in a match that was already long gone.

It was a dominant, clinical display from Minnesota Blizzard, who controlled proceedings from the moment Urakami's first-half double set the tone. Siouxland, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly after a defeat that was as comprehensive as the scoreline suggests.

The result marks a significant statement from Minnesota Blizzard FC as they look to establish themselves as serious contenders in the NPSL this season.
