Louisville City FC dismantled Indy Eleven 4–1 at home on Saturday, with Ray Serrano delivering a hat trick to put the result beyond doubt before the hour mark. Kevon Lambert also found the net for Louisville, while Makel Rasheed grabbed a consolation for the visitors.

Serrano opened the scoring early, striking in the seventh minute to give Louisville the lead. The hosts controlled proceedings from there and extended their advantage in the 33rd minute when Lambert converted, finishing off a ball from Chris Donovan. Louisville were ruthless before halftime — Serrano netted his second in the 42nd minute, again set up by Donovan, to send the teams into the break at 3–0.

Any hopes of an Indy comeback evaporated six minutes into the second half. Serrano completed his hat trick in the 51st minute, with Donovan picking up his third assist of the night. It was a devastating individual performance from Serrano and a quietly dominant one from Donovan, who orchestrated three of the four goals without getting on the scoresheet himself.

The match grew scrappy after that. Joe Hafferty was cautioned for Indy in the 53rd minute, followed quickly by a yellow for Louisville's Quenzi Huerman two minutes later. Sean Totsch picked up another booking for the hosts in the 74th minute.

Rasheed pulled one back for Indy Eleven in the 71st minute, converting from an Aodhan Quinn delivery, but it was little more than a footnote on a night Louisville dominated from start to finish.

The emphatic victory reinforces Louisville City FC's credentials as one of the USL Championship's strongest sides heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
