Indy Eleven rescued a point deep into stoppage time, drawing 2–2 with Birmingham Legion FC in USL Championship action on Saturday. Joe Hafferty opened the scoring in the 20th minute for the hosts, Tyler Pasher equalized for Birmingham in the 40th, Romario Williams put the visitors ahead in the 66th, and Dylan Sing struck in the dying seconds to level things late.

Hafferty gave Indy the early advantage, finding the net midway through the first half to put the home side in control. Birmingham responded well, though. Pasher pulled Legion level before halftime, finishing from a Gevork Diarbian delivery in the 40th minute to send the teams into the break at 1–1.

Williams, who had been booked in the 32nd minute, made sure his name was remembered for the right reasons when he put Birmingham ahead in the 66th minute, converting from a Peter-Lee Vassell pass. Legion looked set to see out the result, and Kadeem Cole's 87th-minute yellow card suggested Birmingham were doing what they needed to protect the lead in the closing stages.

It wasn't enough. Sing equalized for Indy in the eighth minute of stoppage time, completing the comeback and denying Birmingham all three points at the death. The goal turned what had been a frustrating evening for the hosts into a salvaged result.

The draw keeps both sides in the mix during the stretch run of the USL Championship season, though Birmingham will feel this one slipped through their fingers after holding the lead for nearly 25 minutes.
