Spokane Zephyr FC and Lexington SC played out a goalless draw in their USL Super League meeting on Saturday, with neither side able to find a breakthrough despite 90 minutes of effort.

The first half passed without a goal but not without incident. Lexington's Catherine Barry was the first player into the referee's notebook, picking up a yellow card in the 36th minute. That booking set the tone for what became a fractious affair, particularly for the visitors.

Lexington's discipline problems continued after the break. Addie McCain was cautioned in the 50th minute, and just five minutes later Spokane's Katie Murray joined her in the book. With players on both sides walking a disciplinary tightrope, the game grew increasingly cagey through the middle stages. Allison Pantuso rounded out a frustrating evening for Lexington, collecting the match's fourth yellow card in the 87th minute — the third for her team alone.

Neither side could manufacture a clear enough chance to settle the contest. Spokane will feel they missed an opportunity at home, while Lexington, who spent much of the second half managing bookings, may view the point as acceptable given the circumstances.

The draw leaves both teams sharing the spoils in a result that does little to shift the momentum for either side as the USL Super League season heads deeper into the spring stretch.
