Hartford Athletic and Indy Eleven played out a 2–2 draw in USL Championship action on Saturday, with Josh O'Brien's 88th-minute equalizer rescuing a point for the hosts. Sadat Anaku and O'Brien scored for Hartford, while Noble Okello and Bruno Manuel Rendón found the net for Indy.

The first half was a cagey affair until Hartford broke through in the 33rd minute. Anaku finished off a chance created by Adrian Diz Pe to give the home side the lead heading into the break. Indy's Anthony Herbert had picked up a yellow card two minutes prior, setting an edgy tone.

Indy responded almost immediately after halftime. Okello leveled things in the 48th minute, getting on the end of a Cameron Lindley delivery to make it 1–1. The visitors kept pushing and were rewarded in the 72nd minute when Rendón converted from a Mikah Thomas assist to put Indy ahead for the first time.

Hartford looked to be running out of ideas as the clock wound down. Beverly Makangila was booked in the 82nd minute as frustration crept in. But O'Brien had other plans. The forward struck in the 88th minute to drag Hartford level and ensure the points were shared. Diz Pe picked up a late yellow in stoppage time as tensions flared in the closing moments.

The draw keeps both sides in the early-season pack, though neither will be fully satisfied after holding leads and failing to see the game out.
