Lexington SC came from two goals down to beat Monterey Bay FC 3–2 in a USL Championship contest on Saturday, with Braudílio Rodrigues, Ryuga Nakamura, and Tarik Scott all finding the net to complete the comeback. Sebastian Lletget and Fidel Barajas had scored for the visitors.

Monterey Bay made a flying start. Lletget needed just two minutes to open the scoring, putting the away side ahead before Lexington had settled into the match. The visitors doubled their lead in the 26th minute when Barajas finished after good work from Lletget, who picked up his second assist of the half.

At 2–0 down, Lexington's response was swift. Rodrigues pulled one back three minutes later, converting from an Aaron Molloy delivery to make it 2–1. The hosts carried that momentum into the closing stages of the first half. Nakamura equalized in the 42nd minute, dragging Lexington level heading into the break.

The second half was a tighter affair, with neither side able to break the deadlock for much of it. That changed in the 82nd minute when Scott struck to put Lexington ahead for the first time. Monterey Bay's frustration boiled over late on, with Quinton Elliot and Joel Garcia both picking up yellow cards in the final minutes as the visitors chased an equalizer that never came.

The result caps a memorable comeback for Lexington SC at home and drops three valuable points for a Monterey Bay side that will wonder how a two-goal cushion slipped away so quickly.
