Athletic Club Boise came from behind — or rather, never trailed — as they beat New York Cosmos 2–1 on the road in USL League One action on Saturday. Blake Bodily and Jake Crull struck within six minutes of each other in the second half, and Sebastián Guenzatti's stoppage-time reply proved too little, too late for the hosts.

The first half was a cagey affair. Chevone Marsh picked up a yellow card for the Cosmos in the 23rd minute, and neither side managed to break the deadlock before the break. Sergio Chavez was then booked for the Cosmos early in the second half, and the home side's discipline issues seemed to set the tone for what followed.

Bodily opened the scoring on 54 minutes to give Boise the lead, and the visitors doubled their advantage just six minutes later when Crull finished from a Thomas Amang delivery to make it 2–0. The Cosmos looked in real trouble.

Dominic Gasso was cautioned for Boise in the 74th minute as the visitors looked to manage the game, and they did so comfortably for most of the remaining minutes. Guenzatti finally pulled one back deep into stoppage time, converting from a Philip Spengler pass in the 90+5th minute, but there was no time left for an equalizer.

The result gives Athletic Club Boise a valuable three points on the road and leaves the Cosmos searching for answers after failing to impose themselves at home.
