Las Vegas Lights FC earned a comfortable 2–0 victory over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday night in USL Championship action. Blake Pope opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, and Johnny Rodriguez doubled the lead in the 59th minute to seal all three points for the hosts.

The first half was a scrappy affair. Christian Pinzon picked up an early booking for Las Vegas in the 20th minute, and Colorado Springs' Aidan Rocha followed into the referee's notebook before the half-hour mark. Neither side could find a breakthrough in open play, but Pope struck just before the interval, converting in the second minute of added time to send Las Vegas into the break with a 1–0 advantage.

Colorado Springs needed a response after halftime but instead found themselves further behind. Sadam Masereka was cautioned in the 56th minute, and three minutes later Rodriguez made it 2–0, effectively putting the game out of reach. Rodriguez was then booked himself in the 73rd minute — a yellow card that could carry implications if he is close to a suspension threshold.

The final stretch produced little in the way of genuine chances for the Switchbacks, who managed no goals on the night. Patrick Burner received a late yellow card in the 90th minute, with Ben Mines also cautioned deep in stoppage time, capping a match that saw the referee brandish six yellows in total.

The win gives Las Vegas Lights FC valuable points at home and strengthens their position in the Western Conference standings as the season approaches its midway point.
