FC Motown earned a comprehensive 3-0 victory away at Players Development Academy in NPSL play on Tuesday. J. Bottini scored twice in a devastating three-minute spell late in the first half, and J. Gomez added a third early in the second to put the result beyond doubt.

The opening quarter of the match was a fractious affair. PDA's A. Ouedraogo was cautioned in the 23rd minute, and teammate M. Espinosa followed into the referee's notebook just three minutes later. The indiscipline seemed to unsettle the hosts, and FC Motown made them pay.

Bottini broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, then struck again in the 40th to give the visitors a two-goal cushion heading into halftime. PDA had no answer for the forward's clinical finishing during that brief but decisive burst.

Any hopes of a second-half comeback were extinguished quickly. Gomez made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute, and from there FC Motown controlled the game without needing to push forward with any real urgency. M. Maceri picked up a yellow card in the 79th minute — the visitors' only booking of the evening — but it mattered little with the points already secured.

The result continues a strong run for FC Motown and could prove significant in the NPSL standings as the summer stretch of the season takes shape.
