Duluth FC and Siouxland United FC played out a goalless draw in NPSL action on Saturday, with neither side able to find a breakthrough across 90 minutes.

The first half produced little in the way of decisive action but plenty of niggle. Siouxland picked up two yellow cards in the 25th minute, with both K. Vertil-Dorélus and P. Saiz going into the referee's notebook. The double booking suggested a fractious passage of play, and the visitors were fortunate not to find themselves down to ten men with so much of the match still to play.

Siouxland's disciplinary troubles continued after the break. M. Gomes was cautioned in the 63rd minute, making it three yellows for the away side and none for Duluth. Despite the card count tilting heavily against them, Siouxland held firm defensively and kept their hosts at bay.

Duluth, for their part, were unable to capitalize on the pressure that presumably came with Siouxland's cautious approach. No goals, no real talking points beyond the cards — it was a match that will quickly fade from memory for both sets of supporters.

The point keeps both sides ticking over in the NPSL standings, though neither will look back on this one as anything more than an opportunity missed.
