Hartford Athletic cruised to a 2–0 victory over Sporting JAX on Wednesday night, with goals from Jordan Scarlett and Emmanuel Samadia sealing all three points in USL Championship action.

The visitors found themselves on the back foot early. Harvey Neville picked up a yellow card in the ninth minute, setting the tone for what became a frustrating evening for Sporting JAX. Hartford made their pressure count midway through the first half when Scarlett latched onto a pass from Sebastian Anderson and found the net in the 21st minute to give the hosts a deserved lead.

Hartford carried that advantage into the break, and Sporting JAX's discipline problems only worsened after halftime. Ryan Edwards was cautioned just three minutes into the second half, followed by Ahmad Al Qaq picking up a booking on 58 minutes. The accumulation of cards reflected a side struggling to contain Hartford without resorting to fouls, and the constant disruptions made it difficult for Jacksonville to build any sustained momentum.

The home side put the game to bed seven minutes from time. Michee Ngalina delivered the key pass, and Samadia made no mistake, tucking away Hartford's second to effectively end the contest. Kieran Sadlier added a fourth Sporting JAX yellow card deep in stoppage time to cap a night the visitors will want to forget quickly.

Hartford kept a clean sheet and controlled proceedings from start to finish, collecting four yellow cards' worth of frustration from their opponents along the way. The win gives Hartford Athletic valuable points as the stretch run of the USL Championship season heats up.
