Louisville City FC came from behind to beat Lexington SC 2–1 on the road Friday night, with Aiden McFadden's 85th-minute strike completing the comeback. Aaron Molloy had given the hosts an early lead, but second-half goals from Mukwelle Akale and McFadden handed Louisville all three points.

Lexington started the brighter of the two sides. Molloy broke the deadlock in the 18th minute, just moments after Louisville's Zach Duncan had been cautioned. The early goal gave Lexington SC control of the first half, and Louisville City went into the break trailing.

The visitors came out with more urgency after halftime. Akale leveled the score in the 52nd minute, finishing from a Sean Totsch delivery to make it 1–1. The equalizer shifted momentum firmly in Louisville's direction, and Lexington struggled to regain the foothold they had established before the interval.

The decisive moment arrived five minutes from full time. McFadden found the net in the 85th minute to put Louisville ahead for the first time all evening. Lexington pushed for a late equalizer but couldn't find one, and frustration boiled over when Joe Hafferty picked up a yellow card in the 90th minute as the game slipped away.

The result gives Louisville City FC a valuable early-season away win in a rivalry matchup, while Lexington SC will feel hard done by after leading for more than half the contest only to leave empty-handed.
