Union Omaha salvaged a 1–1 draw against Sarasota Paradise in USL League One action on Saturday, with Pato Botello Faz striking deep into stoppage time to cancel out Stretch's first-half opener.

Sarasota Paradise took control in the 27th minute when Stretch finished from an Andres Rodriguez feed to put the visitors ahead. The goal settled Sarasota, and the half grew increasingly fractious from there. Marlon Vargas was booked for Union Omaha just two minutes after the goal, and cards for Emiliano Terzaghi, Rodriguez, and Brent Kallman followed before the break as tempers frayed on both sides.

Union Omaha pushed for an equalizer in the second half but struggled to find a way through. Younes Boudadi picked up a yellow in the 83rd minute as the hosts grew more desperate, and the match looked to be slipping away. Stoppage time brought chaos. Vincenzo Candela was cautioned in the 91st minute, then Sean Karani went into the book for Sarasota — and then came the breakthrough.

Botello Faz latched onto a Gabriel de Freitas delivery in the 94th minute to level the score, sparking a frantic final passage. Adrian Billhardt and Botello Faz himself were both cautioned in the aftermath as emotions boiled over, bringing the total to nine yellow cards across the 90-plus minutes.

The point keeps Union Omaha's unbeaten run intact but will feel like two dropped for Sarasota Paradise, who were minutes from taking all three on the road.
