Corpus Christi FC earned a comfortable 2-0 victory on the road against Portland Hearts of Pine in USL League One action on Saturday. Blake Bowen opened the scoring in the 19th minute, and Jack Keaney sealed the result late, finishing off a Jackson Dietrich assist in the 84th minute.

Corpus Christi took control early. Bowen's goal gave the visitors the lead before the 20-minute mark, and Portland struggled to find a response. The first half grew increasingly fractious, with Diogo Barbosa picking up a yellow card for the hosts in the 33rd minute before Bowen was cautioned on the other side four minutes later.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Portland pressed for an equalizer but couldn't break through, and the referee stayed busy — Nacho Abeal was booked in the 59th minute and Arthur Medina followed into the book in the 72nd. Hearts of Pine's inability to convert pressure into chances proved costly.

Keaney put the game to bed six minutes from time, latching onto Dietrich's delivery to double the lead and effectively end the contest. Portland's frustration boiled over in the closing stages, with Esteban Espinosa cautioned a minute after the goal and Walter Varela picking up a yellow deep in stoppage time. Dietrich was also booked late as tempers flared in the dying moments of a match that had long since been decided.

The defeat leaves Portland Hearts of Pine searching for answers at home, while Corpus Christi FC will carry real momentum from a controlled, disciplined away performance.
