El Paso Locomotive FC picked up a 2–0 home victory over AV ALTA FC on Wednesday night, with second-half goals from Noah Dollenmayer in the 72nd minute and Diego Abitia in the 79th settling a USL League One contest that was scoreless through the opening 70 minutes.
The first half produced cards but no goals. AV ALTA's Adam Aoumaich was the first into the referee's notebook in the 17th minute, and El Paso picked up two yellows in quick succession — Alex Méndez in the 31st minute and Amando Moreno two minutes later. Neither side could find a breakthrough before the break.
The deadlock held deep into the second half before Dollenmayer finally broke it. The El Paso man latched onto a Guillermo Diaz pass and found the net to make it 1–0 with 18 minutes of regulation remaining.
Just two minutes after his goal, Abitia was cautioned — but any frustration didn't linger. Five minutes later, he doubled the lead, converting from a Gabi Torres delivery to put the result beyond doubt at 2–0 in the 79th minute. Diaz, who had set up the opener, picked up a yellow of his own in stoppage time, but by then the points were already secure.
AV ALTA offered little in response and failed to register on the scoresheet, leaving El Paso to close out a comfortable win. The clean sheet and controlled second-half performance give Locomotive FC valuable momentum as the season progresses in League One.
