Flower City Union cruised to a 4–0 victory over Niagara 1812 in NPSL action on Wednesday, with all four goals coming as own goals from the visitors in a historically dismal defensive display. N. Rippe (3'), J. Avallone (26'), R. Gomes de Almeida (53'), and J. Baraka (86') each put the ball into their own net as Niagara 1812 self-destructed across 90 minutes.

The rout began almost immediately. Rippe turned the ball past his own goalkeeper just three minutes in, handing Flower City Union an early lead they never looked like relinquishing. Avallone doubled the advantage in the 26th minute with another own goal, and the hosts took a comfortable 2–0 cushion into halftime — though not without some edge, as J. Okwulehie and D. Massaro picked up yellow cards for the home side.

The second half brought no relief for Niagara 1812. Gomes de Almeida made it three in the 53rd minute, again finding the wrong net. Frustration set in for the visitors as N. Masucci was booked on 55 minutes, followed by A. Murphy on 71. Flower City Union weren't immune to the referee's notebook either, with D. Leardini and S. Mann both cautioned in the final 15 minutes.

Baraka completed the misery in the 86th minute with Niagara's fourth own goal of the evening — a staggering tally by any standard. F. Safari picked up a late yellow card to cap a night the visitors will want to forget in a hurry.

The emphatic result gives Flower City Union a significant boost in the NPSL standings as the summer season progresses.
