New Mexico United cruised past Las Vegas Lights FC 3–1 at home on Friday night in USL Championship action, with goals from Niall Reid-Stephen, Ousman Jabang, and Zico Bailey sealing a comfortable victory.

The first half produced two goals in quick succession. Reid-Stephen opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, finishing from a Zico Bailey delivery to give New Mexico the lead. Las Vegas hit back just eight minutes later through Oalex Anderson, who converted off a Christian Pinzon assist to level the match heading toward the break.

New Mexico reasserted control after halftime. Jabang restored the hosts' advantage in the 53rd minute, getting on the end of a Dayonn Harris pass to make it 2–1. The Lights struggled to mount a sustained response, and the game began to slip away from them.

Bailey, already on a yellow card from the 68th minute, added the insurance goal five minutes later, again set up by Harris, to put the result beyond doubt at 3–1. Harris's two assists proved decisive in shaping the second-half outcome.

Las Vegas's frustration showed in the closing stages. Giorgio Probo and Manuel Arteaga picked up bookings in the 77th and 79th minutes respectively as the visitors' discipline frayed with the game out of reach.

The win gives New Mexico United three valuable points at home and extends their strong form, keeping them firmly in the mix in the USL Championship standings as the season pushes deeper into May.
