Davis Legacy SC and Almaden FC shared the points in a 2–2 draw in USL League Two action on Friday night. Neither side could find a decisive edge as the two teams traded goals across 90 minutes.

Davis Legacy twice held the lead at home but were pegged back on each occasion by an Almaden side that refused to go away. The hosts looked the more dangerous early, converting their pressure into the opening goal before Almaden responded to level the score. Davis Legacy restored their advantage later in the match, but again Almaden found an equalizer to ensure a share of the spoils.

Discipline was a non-factor, with the referee's notebook staying clean — no yellow or red cards were issued to either side in a contest that, while competitive, avoided any flashpoints.

Both teams will feel they left something on the table. Davis Legacy had the benefit of home support and led twice, making the dropped points sting that little bit more. Almaden, meanwhile, showed resilience to come from behind on two occasions, though they will wonder whether a more clinical start could have shifted the balance in their favor.

The draw keeps both sides in the early-season mix in USL League Two, with plenty of points still to play for as the summer schedule ramps up.
