Sarasota Paradise came from behind to beat Fort Wayne FC 1–3 on the road in USL League One action on Saturday. Michael Rempel opened the scoring for the hosts in the 14th minute, but goals from Jonathan Bolanos (25'), Anderson Rosa (45+1'), and Garrett McLaughlin (90+7') sealed a convincing away victory for Sarasota.
Fort Wayne started sharply. Rempel's early strike gave the home side the lead and the confidence to dictate play in the opening quarter of an hour. That advantage lasted just 11 minutes. Bolanos equalized for Sarasota in the 25th minute, and the match shifted from there.
The visitors carried that momentum into the closing stages of the first half. Rosa found the net deep into first-half stoppage time to send Sarasota into the break with a 2–1 lead — a gut punch for Fort Wayne, who had looked comfortable before the equalizer.
The second half grew increasingly fractious. Fort Wayne picked up three yellow cards through Jon Paul Jordan II, Javier Armas, and Rempel himself, while Sarasota's Emiliano Terzaghi was also cautioned. The home side pushed for a leveler but left themselves exposed late on. Rosa turned provider in the dying seconds of stoppage time, setting up McLaughlin to finish and put the result beyond doubt at 3–1.
Fort Wayne's frustration was summed up by a late booking for Tiago Dias moments after the third goal went in.
The result strengthens Sarasota Paradise's position in the League One standings as the season enters its final stretch, while Fort Wayne will need to regroup quickly after surrendering a lead at home.
