Lexington SC picked up a comfortable 2–0 home win over Fort Lauderdale United FC in USL Super League action on Saturday, with second-half goals from Darya Rajaee and Sarah Griffith sealing all three points.

The first half produced few clear-cut moments but plenty of niggle. Fort Lauderdale's Kathrynn González was booked in the 43rd minute as tensions simmered heading into the break, with the scoreline still level at 0–0.

Lexington came out sharper after halftime. Just three minutes into the second half, Rajaee broke the deadlock in the 48th minute to give the hosts a deserved lead. The goal shifted the complexion of the match, forcing Fort Lauderdale to push forward and leaving them exposed at the back.

The visitors struggled to create meaningful chances in response. Frustration crept in as the clock ticked past the hour mark, and Lexington looked increasingly comfortable managing the game on their terms.

Griffith put the result beyond doubt in the 82nd minute, doubling the advantage and effectively ending the contest. Sh'nia Gordon picked up a yellow card for Fort Lauderdale in the same minute, underlining the visitors' growing frustration. Kiara Locklear added a third booking for Fort Lauderdale late on in the 89th minute — a rough final stretch for a side that never found its footing after the break.
