Sporting JAX cruised to a commanding 0–3 victory over Tampa Bay Sun FC on Saturday, with goals from Baylee DeSmit (33'), Sophia Boman (38'), and Paige Kenton (74') sealing all three points on the road in USL Super League action.

The first half hour was scoreless but not without incident. Tampa Bay's Victoria Haugen picked up a yellow card in the 29th minute, and the hosts' discipline issues seemed to set the tone for what followed. Just four minutes later, DeSmit broke the deadlock for Sporting JAX, giving the visitors a lead they would never relinquish.

Tampa Bay had barely processed the blow before Boman doubled the advantage in the 38th minute. Two goals in five minutes left Sun FC with a mountain to climb heading into the break.

Caroline Murray was booked for Sporting JAX shortly after halftime, but the caution did little to disrupt the visitors' control of the match. Tampa Bay searched for a route back into the game through the second half, yet it was Sporting JAX who struck again. Kenton made it three in the 74th minute, finishing off a pass from Meg Hughes to put the result beyond any doubt.

The closing stages were a formality. Kaitlyn Parks received a late yellow for Sporting JAX in the 89th minute, but by then the contest was long settled. Tampa Bay rarely threatened throughout and managed little in response to falling behind.

The comprehensive win marks a statement result for Sporting JAX, who will hope the away performance signals the kind of form needed to push up the USL Super League table as the season progresses.
