Loudoun United FC and Indy Eleven played out a 1–1 draw in USL Championship action on Saturday, with Bruno Manuel Rendón opening the scoring for the visitors just before halftime and Jordan Farr salvaging a point for Loudoun deep into stoppage time.

The first half was a scrappy affair. Loudoun's Edward Davis picked up an early booking in the 16th minute, and Rendón followed suit for Indy in the 39th. Five minutes after his yellow card, though, Rendón made a far more positive contribution — latching onto a Josh O'Brien delivery to put the visitors ahead in the 44th minute. Indy took the 1–0 lead into the break.

The second half brought more cards but no immediate change on the scoreboard. Indy's Loïc Mesanvi was cautioned in the 58th minute, and teammate Mohamed Omar joined him in the book in the 75th. Loudoun's Liam Butts was also booked in the 84th as frustrations grew for the home side, who struggled to find a way through.

It looked as if Indy would hold on for all three points. Pedro Santos received a yellow card in the first minute of added time as Loudoun threw numbers forward, and the clock ticked past the 90. Then, in the fifth minute of stoppage time, goalkeeper Jordan Farr — pushed up for a late set piece — found the net off a Giorgi Lomtadze delivery to snatch the most dramatic of equalizers.

Six yellow cards were shown across the match, though neither side was reduced to ten men. The draw leaves both teams sharing the spoils in a contest that ultimately hinged on one extraordinary moment at the death.
