Hartford Athletic cruised to a commanding 3-0 victory away at Sporting JAX on Saturday night, with goals from Augustine Williams, Samuel Careaga, and Adewale Obalola sealing all three points in USL Championship action.

The opening exchanges set an early tone when Sporting JAX's Wan Kuzain picked up a yellow card in the eighth minute. Hartford controlled possession for long stretches of the first half without finding a breakthrough — until just before the break. In the 44th minute, Williams finished from a Matt Real delivery to give the visitors a deserved 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Hartford's Adrian Diz Pe was booked in first-half stoppage time, but it did little to disrupt the visitors' momentum.

Sporting JAX came out needing a response in the second half but struggled to create clear-cut chances. Dida Armstrong's 65th-minute yellow card reflected the home side's growing frustration as Hartford sat comfortably on their lead.

The game was effectively put to bed in the 79th minute when Careaga doubled the advantage, converting after good work from Michee Ngalina. Any faint hopes of a JAX comeback evaporated in the 90th minute as Obalola added a third, finishing off a Careaga assist to complete a thorough dismantling.

Hartford barely broke a sweat in defense across the full 90 minutes, keeping a clean sheet while looking dangerous every time they moved forward. The comprehensive away win gives Hartford Athletic early-season momentum and sends a clear message to the rest of the league about their ambitions in 2026.
