Orange County SC cruised to a 2–0 victory over San Antonio FC in USL Championship action on Wednesday night, with first-half goals from Lyam MacKinnon and Yaniv Bazini sealing all three points.

The hosts took control early. MacKinnon opened the scoring in the 11th minute, finishing off a feed from Marcelo Palomino to give Orange County a lead they would never relinquish. San Antonio's response was limited, and frustration crept in quickly — Alex Crognale picked up a yellow card in the 24th minute as the visitors struggled to gain a foothold.

Bazini doubled the advantage in the 34th minute, extending Orange County's cushion before the break. San Antonio's Jorge Hernández was booked six minutes later as the first half ended with the home side firmly in command.

The second half brought little threat from San Antonio but plenty of needle. The visitors collected three more yellow cards — Akeem Ward in the 49th minute, Mitchell Taintor in the 75th, and Nelson Blanco Flores in the 86th — as the match grew increasingly scrappy. Orange County were not immune either, with Christopher Hegardt and Tom Brewitt finding their way into the referee's notebook in the 76th and 83rd minutes respectively. Seven yellows across the two sides told the story of a fractious second period, though neither team crossed the line into a sending-off.

Despite the late chippiness, Orange County managed the game comfortably, rarely looking troubled after Bazini's goal put them two up before halftime.

The win gives Orange County SC early-season momentum in the Championship standings and puts pressure on San Antonio FC, who will need to find answers quickly after a toothless display on the road.
