Sarasota Paradise and Spokane Velocity FC shared the points in a 1–1 draw in USL League One action on Saturday. Ethan Bryant opened the scoring for the hosts in the 21st minute, but Mark Hernández rescued a point for Spokane deep into stoppage time at the end of the second half.

Sarasota took the lead midway through the first half when Bryant finished from an Anderson Rosa pass to put the home side ahead. Paradise carried that advantage comfortably through the remainder of the opening period, though tempers flared just before the halftime whistle. Rosa and Spokane's Shavon John-Brown were both cautioned in added time at the end of the first half after a confrontation.

Spokane pushed for an equalizer throughout the second half but struggled to find a way through. It looked as though Sarasota would hold on for all three points until Hernández struck in the fourth minute of stoppage time to level the score and deny the hosts a home victory.

The late equalizer will sting for Sarasota Paradise, who did enough for long stretches to deserve the win, while Spokane Velocity will take confidence from a never-say-die response that kept their own campaign moving forward in the second half of the season.
