Athletic Club Boise secured a 1–0 victory away at Sarasota Paradise in USL League One action on Saturday, with Denys Kostyshyn's 75th-minute strike proving the difference.

The first half was a cagey affair punctuated by bookings on both sides. Sarasota's Jonathan Bolanos picked up the game's first yellow card in the 20th minute, and Boise's Jake Dengler followed him into the referee's notebook 15 minutes later. Neither side managed to break the deadlock before the interval.

The second half followed a similar pattern for much of its duration, with defenses holding firm. Sarasota's Declan Watters was cautioned in the 72nd minute, and just three minutes later, the visitors made the hosts pay. Kostyshyn finished from a Blake Bodily delivery to put Boise ahead with 15 minutes of regulation remaining. It was a clinical moment from the Boise attack after a largely tight contest.

Sarasota pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages but could not find a way through. The home side's frustration was evident — two of their three bookings came in the second half — and Boise's backline held steady to preserve the clean sheet.

The result gives Athletic Club Boise a valuable three points on the road early in the 2026 season, while Sarasota Paradise will look to regroup quickly after a narrow defeat at home.
