Athletic Club Boise and Charlotte Independence shared the points in a 1–1 draw in USL League One on Wednesday night, with both goals arriving in a four-minute burst midway through the second half. Denys Kostyshyn opened the scoring in the 58th minute for the hosts before Reudd Manin equalized for Charlotte in the 62nd.

The first half was a scrappy affair dominated by the referee's whistle. Charlotte's Séga Coulibaly picked up two yellow cards inside the opening 11 minutes — bookings in the fourth and 11th minutes — yet somehow avoided further punishment as no red card was issued. Boise's Dominic Gasso also found himself in the book in the 33rd minute, though neither side managed to find the net before the break.

The deadlock broke shortly after the hour mark. Gasso, despite his earlier caution, provided the key pass for Kostyshyn, who made no mistake to put Boise ahead. The lead lasted barely four minutes. Jon Bakero picked out Manin, and the Charlotte forward finished to restore parity at 1–1.

Neither side could conjure a winner in the remaining half hour, and the match ended level.

The draw does little to dramatically shift the picture for either club in the League One standings, though Charlotte will feel the better about a point earned on the road after a difficult opening quarter that could easily have gone against them.
