Charlotte Independence dismantled Spokane Velocity FC 4–0 at home on Friday night in USL League One action, with goals from Simon Fitch, Luis Alvarez, Javen Romero, and Miles Lyons sealing a comprehensive victory.

The hosts wasted no time setting the tone. Fitch found the net just two minutes in, catching Spokane cold before the visitors could settle into any shape. It was the kind of early blow that changes a game plan entirely, and Spokane never recovered.
