Union Omaha defeated Fort Wayne FC 4–2 on Saturday in USL League One action, with Kempes Waldemar Tekiela bagging a second-half brace and Allen Gavilanes involved in three of the hosts' four goals.

Omaha seized control early. Pato Botello Faz opened the scoring in the 15th minute, finishing off a feed from Gavilanes. Just two minutes later, Gavilanes got on the scoresheet himself, converting from an Aaron Gómez delivery to make it 2–0 before the 20-minute mark.

Fort Wayne looked rattled. Emerson Nieto picked up a yellow card in the 30th minute, and Anthony Hernandez followed him into the book four minutes later. But the visitors found their footing before halftime. Daniel Oyetunde pulled one back in the 41st minute after a pass from Hernandez, and Ryan Becher equalized right before the break, latching onto a ball from Kabiru Gafar to level things at 2–2 heading into the interval.

The second half belonged to Tekiela. The forward restored Omaha's lead in the 66th minute, heading straight into the referee's notebook with a yellow card on the same play but also finding the net from another Gavilanes assist. He added his second of the night in the 85th minute, with Gómez again the provider, sealing the result at 4–2.

Gavilanes finished with a goal and two assists, while Gómez contributed a pair of assists of his own — the two combining to orchestrate nearly every dangerous moment for the hosts.

The win keeps Union Omaha firmly in the mix in the USL League One standings as the season approaches its midway point.
