Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and New Mexico United played out a goalless draw on Saturday in a USL Championship contest that failed to produce a single finish across 90-plus minutes.

Neither side could find a breakthrough despite a full match's worth of chances — or lack thereof. The scoreline stayed level throughout, with both goalkeepers untroubled enough to keep clean sheets but neither attack able to generate the decisive moment.

The game's tension surfaced late. Aidan Rocha picked up a yellow card in the 85th minute for Colorado Springs, and the final minutes grew increasingly fractious. Brennan Creek was booked in the 90th minute, and New Mexico's Charlie Dennis followed him into the referee's notebook in first-half stoppage time, three cautions in a span of six minutes that spoke to the frustration building on both sides as the points were shared.

The draw does little for either team's ambitions, with both sides dropping two points in what shaped up as a tight, low-quality affair rather than a hard-fought defensive battle.
