AV ALTA FC dismantled New York Cosmos 4–0 at home on Friday night in USL League One action, with Adam Aoumaich scoring twice and adding an assist to drive the rout.

Godwin Antwi opened the scoring early, putting AV ALTA FC ahead in the eighth minute to set the tone. The hosts controlled proceedings from there and doubled their lead just before halftime when Aoumaich finished from an Erick Ceja feed in the 43rd minute.

Any hope of a Cosmos comeback evaporated ten minutes into the second half. Aoumaich struck again in the 55th minute, converting off a pass from Osvaldo Lay to make it 3–0. Cosmos forward Sebastián Guenzatti picked up a yellow card shortly after as frustration began to boil over for the visitors.

Aoumaich earned a booking of his own in the 60th minute — a caution that did nothing to slow his influence on the match. He turned provider in the 71st minute, setting up Santiago Higareda to complete the scoring at 4–0.

The final twenty minutes were a fractious affair. Christian Ortiz was cautioned for AV ALTA FC, while Cosmos players Nicholas Mendonca and Anges Kader Bohui each saw yellow as the visitors' discipline frayed in a game long since decided.

Aoumaich's two-goal, one-assist performance was the standout display, but the clean sheet underlined a dominant collective effort from start to finish. The comprehensive victory gives AV ALTA FC valuable momentum as the USL League One season moves deeper into the spring stretch.
